About lavenon.com
A noticeboard for the whole country: the people who do the work, the people who need it done, and the goods that change hands in between. Everything here is person to person.
Why this exists
Most work in Bangladesh is arranged by word of mouth. That works when you know somebody, and fails completely when you do not. A painter three streets away cannot find you, and you cannot find him. lavenon.com is one place where both sides can be found — sorted by how close you actually are to each other, not by who paid the most for an advertisement.
Find anything in seconds
Six ways to reach what you need, from the quickest to the most hands-off. Every one of them puts the closest results first.
Search everything at once
Type in the search box at the top — “electrician”, “mess seat Mirpur”, “biryani”. It looks through every board, the worker list, shops, food, hotels and professionals together, closest first. The filter panel narrows it by board, category, price, distance or date.
OpenBrowse the six sections
Every page sits in one of six sections: Work, Buy & sell, Home & food, Help & community, My tools, and Games & play. Open Sections from the menu when you know the kind of thing you want but not where it lives.
OpenSee what was just posted
Just posted is one stream of the newest postings from every board. A quick look once a day catches new jobs, rooms and offers before most people see them.
OpenDrop your map pin once
Set your area and drop a pin on your profile. Every list, every search and every answer from Nix then measures real distance from you — your own area first, then your district, your division and the whole country.
OpenLet a Magnet watch for you
Searching for the same thing every day? Describe it once in a Magnet — the words, your budget, how far — and get a notification the moment a matching posting, shop, food seller or hotel appears near you. A Magnet costs 1 tokens a day while it runs.
OpenJust ask Nix
Tap the penguin in the bottom-right corner and say what you need in English, বাংলা or Banglish. He searches for you, shows the closest results with distance, phone and a map link, and takes you to the right page.
Meet NixTips for better results
- Use one or two plain words — “plumber”, not “I need someone good to fix my bathroom pipe”.
- Try both Bangla and English — “মিস্ত্রি” and “mason” can find different people.
- If nothing shows, widen the distance: start at 5 km and go up.
- Repeating a search and browsing a board without typing are free; new typed searches are counted, 2 tokens for every 20.
- Save the people and postings you like, so you never have to search for them twice.
Meet Nix, your AI helper
Nix is the penguin in the bottom-right corner of every page, on the website and in the app. Sign in, tap him, and talk to him like a friend on WhatsApp — he knows how the whole site works and can look things up for you.
No penguin? Sign in first. He steps aside on chat screens, where the message box needs the room.
What Nix can do
- Explain any part of the site step by step, with a button to the right page.
- Search postings, shops, food sellers, professionals, hotels and blood banks near you, and show them as cards with distance, phone and a map link.
- Find playgrounds with a free slot on the day you want, and get a booking request ready.
- Write a first message to a playground, restaurant or hotel owner for you.
- Draft a Magnet or a Buy & Sell posting from one sentence — add a photo and it goes on the posting.
- Help you report somebody or contact the team.
- Answer in your language: English, বাংলা or Banglish.
Things you can ask
How to get the best from Nix
- Say what, where and how much in one message — “AC repair in Uttara today, under 1500”.
- Add a distance or a day when it matters — “within 3 km”, “this Friday”.
- Keep talking: “the cheaper one”, “book the 5 pm slot”, “message the second hotel” — he remembers what he just showed you.
- Read a draft card before you tap it. Nothing is posted, sent or charged until you tap, and the card shows the price first.
- The lines under his name show what he is doing while you wait. If he says he is busy, send again in a minute.
- On a shared phone, press Clear chat when you are done. To stop him walking across the screen, turn on “Stay in his corner” in Settings › Appearance.
Private by design
Your chat with Nix is kept only on your own phone or browser, never on our server, and every message deletes itself after 24 hours. Nix is never given your phone number, email or exact location — only your area, to measure distance. Chatting is free; a search he runs for you is counted like one you type. Each member can send up to 10 messages a minute and 200 a day.
What's new
The latest changes to the website and the app. Each one is explained in the board guide and the questions below.
Nix, the AI penguin helper
Tap the penguin in the bottom-right corner to ask anything about the site, search near you, find a free playground slot or draft a post — in English or বাংলা. Your chat stays on your own device.
Open itBack up and restore your chats
Settings › Backup & restore downloads your profile, postings and conversations as one file. Upload it later, on the web or in the app, to bring deleted chats back into your inbox.
Open itA simpler posting form
Every board's form now opens in Simple, with only the fields a posting needs. Press Advanced when you want every optional field.
Choose how far your post reaches
Under “Who can see this post”, pick everyone or a distance from 5 to 200 km. People farther away do not see it, and the centre point is never shown.
One search finds everything
The search box at the top now finds shops, food sellers and single dishes, professionals, hotels, blood banks and charities by name, nearest first and at any distance. A member ID typed there shows that member's card.
The search meter
Searches from the Magnet, the top search, the board search boxes and Nix are counted: 2 tokens buys 20 searches. Repeating a search, and browsing without typing, are free.
The Demand page
Shop, food, hotel and service owners can see what people nearby are searching for — top products, busy areas and the trend, counted once per person. A pass is 20 tokens for 2 hours.
Open itGames: chess, ludo and Sudoku
Start a chess or ludo table and share its 6-digit Game ID. Friends join with it, others can watch with it. Chat at the table, send a reaction, and press Play again when it ends. Sudoku has three levels and plays on your own device.
Open itPrivate notes
A notepad opened with just a username and password, no account needed. It syncs between your devices and stays open until you press Lock.
Open itPasswords remembered on your device
Open a cost book, hotel desk, charity, blood bank or organisation once and this device remembers it. Lock, or signing out, forgets it again.
Work done, counted for life
Your profile shows how many works you have completed, and the number stays even after old completed postings are cleared away.
Open itFood sellers: keywords, open or closed, sold out
Add search words in English and Bangla, switch your shop open or closed, and mark a dish sold out or not available today — it comes back by itself at midnight.
Open itCost books: compare and PDFs
See this month beside last month on a graph, and download one month or every month as a PDF. Hotels and food sellers get their own report too.
Open itWithdraw tokens to bKash
When withdrawals are open, ask on the Purchase page for at least 500 tokens to be paid to your bKash number. An administrator sends the money by hand, and only then do the tokens leave your balance.
Open itInvite and earn
Share your invite link. While the referral programme is open, you and the person who joins with it can both receive tokens.
See how much has loaded
A bar at the top shows, in percent, how much of a page, a search or a photo upload has arrived.
Clearer calls in the app
Voice calls use your phone's own noise and echo cancellation, and a ringing call can be answered or declined straight from its notification.
How every board works
Pick a board to see what it is for, how to use it, every option on it, how you can earn from it and how quickly things happen.
On every board: reading and searching are free, the nearest postings come first, contact details open with an unlock, and a deal both sides confirm earns each of you a permanent rating.
Find Job
What it is
One page with two sides. Jobs is work somebody needs done — a tuition, an office assistant, a delivery run. Hire is people offering their own skill — an electrician, a tutor, a driver, a cook. The switch at the top moves between them.
How to use it
- Open Find Job and pick a side: Jobs if you want work, Hire if you want somebody.
- Type the skill or the job in the search box — every word is searched on its own.
- Narrow by division, district, area and price; the nearest postings come first.
- Open a posting to read it in full and see its pictures, free.
- Unlock the contact (2 tokens, once) or press Message to talk in the inbox.
- When the work is agreed, both of you confirm it in the chat, then rate each other.
Every option
- Switch between Jobs and Hire
- Search words, category, area and price filters
- Sort by nearest, newest, cheapest or best rated
- “Near me only” and a distance radius
- Save a posting for later — free
- Open for work: stay listed on Hire for 1 tokens every 5 days
- Price as fixed, per hour or negotiable
- Simple or Advanced posting form
- Who can see it: everyone, or only people within 5–200 km
- Publish for 1–60 days, with up to 4 pictures
How you can earn
Post your skill on Hire, or switch on Open for work, and people nearby who need that skill find you and call you. Put your skills on your profile and every new job that mentions them rings your bell, so you can answer before anybody else. Each finished job adds a permanent rating that wins you the next one.
Your benefit
No agency and no commission — the whole payment is between you and the other person. An employer finds workers in their own area instead of paying a middleman, and a worker is found by people three streets away who never knew they existed.
How fast
A posting is live the second you publish it. Skill matches and Magnets are told within moments, and an unlock puts you on the phone straight away — many jobs are arranged the same day.
How we run it
Closest first, always
Every board is sorted by distance from you by default: your exact area, then the areas a poster covers, then your district, then your division, then the whole country. There is no paid placement and no way to buy your way up the list.
Contact details stay hidden
A phone number, an email and a social link are never on an open board where anyone can scrape them. They are shown only to somebody who spends tokens to open that one posting.
Reputation cannot be bought or erased
A rating can only be left by somebody who completed a deal with you, once per deal, and it can never be edited or deleted — not by them, not by you, not by us.
Your private details stay yours
Your token balance, your IP address and your full National ID are never published anywhere. Even a public NID shows only its last four digits.
Everything you can do here
The complete list — every feature the site actually has.
13 boards, one account
Find Job (Jobs & Hire), Services, Labour, Rooms & House Rent, Land & Property, Buy & Sell, Construction, Advertising, Find People, Blood, Lost & Found and Gold — plus the Food, Hotels, Services and Shops directories, Charity and your private Cost management books. One login, one token balance, one reputation across all of them, and a Magnet can watch every one at once.
Multi-sided boards
Find Job switches between Jobs and Hire. Buy & Sell splits into selling and wanted, Construction into materials and labour, Rooms & House Rent into to let and wanted, Land & Property into for sale and wanted, and Blood into need and donate. Switch sides with a tab — the categories change with you.
Sorted by how near you are
Exact area first, then the areas a poster is willing to travel to, then your district, then your division, then nationwide and online. “Near me only” turns that ranking into a hard filter.
Word-by-word search
Each word of your search only has to appear somewhere in a posting, not all in the same field. “12mm rod” finds a listing titled “Rod & steel” with a product name of “12mm BSRM”. The search box at the top also finds shops, food sellers and dishes, professionals, hotels, blood banks and charities by name, at any distance.
Filters that matter
City, area, category, condition, price range, online-only and six sort orders including closest, newest, cheapest and best rated.
Contact unlocking
Spend 2 tokens once to reveal a posting's phone, email and social link. Opening the same posting again is free forever, and your own postings never cost anything.
Real-time messaging
Live chat with typing indicators, read receipts, online/offline presence and instant delivery while you are both on the site. One thread per person, no matter how many postings you discuss.
Mutual deal confirmation
When both sides confirm a posting inside the chat, it leaves the boards and moves to the Done page as a record of completed work — and the whole conversation stays as the record of what was agreed.
Work to be done, and work done
The live feed shows every piece of work that is still open. The Done page lists every posting both sides confirmed, so anybody can see how much work has really been completed here. Completed work is never thrown away.
Public, permanent ratings
After a confirmed deal each side can leave one star rating and comment. It shows on the public profile forever and cannot be changed or deleted by anybody.
Skill matching
List your skills once and every new posting that mentions one raises a notification in your bell. Your profile also shows a live count of matching postings per skill, per board.
The notification bell
Skill matches, ratings you receive, tokens somebody sends you and announcements from the administrators. Unread messages are counted separately by the mail icon, so nothing is announced twice.
Your public profile
Name, photo, bio, skills, location, rating history and every posting you currently have live — readable by anyone, signed in or not, at /u/your-id.
Privacy switches
Your phone number and email are always private — nobody sees them and nobody can search for you by them. Social links, National ID and last-active time are public or private on your say-so. Name, bio, skills and location are always public — they are what make you findable.
Profile pictures
Upload one picture up to 3 MB. Uploading a new one deletes the old file immediately, so your account never keeps more than a single image on the server.
The token economy
One balance pays for posting, unlocking contacts, starting chats, magnets and monthly listings. Top up with bKash, get unused days back automatically when you cancel a posting early, and ask for tokens to be paid back to bKash when withdrawals are open.
Send tokens to anybody
Transfer whole tokens to another account by email — up to 1000 at a time. The recipient is told the moment it lands. Nothing is created: it moves from your balance to theirs.
Pay only for the days you use
Choose how many days a posting stays live, from 1 to 60. Cancel or delete it early and every unused day is refunded to your balance automatically.
Ticket price protection
Every travel ticket listing must state its printed face value. Ask more than that and the site marks the listing publicly as over-priced and records it — selling a ticket above face value is illegal in Bangladesh.
Location that fills itself in
Your place comes from your phone's GPS or a pin you drop on the map — never guessed from your internet connection. Division, district and area are filled in from it, and every field stays editable.
English and Bangla
Switch the entire site between English and বাংলা from the navbar. Your choice is remembered in this browser and applies to every page next time you visit.
Day and night
A light theme built on warm paper tones and a dark theme built on deep earth tones, both tuned so small text stays readable. Your choice is saved in this browser.
A direct line to the administrators
“Send feedback” at the bottom of any page reaches the moderators, with or without an account. They answer in your notification bell.
Free to browse
Reading every board, searching, filtering and looking at anybody's public profile and ratings costs nothing and needs no account.
How to post something
The same five steps on every board.
Pick the right board
Offering your own skill, or needing somebody, goes on Find Job (Hire or Jobs). Organised or arranged work goes on Services. Plain physical work goes on Labour. A mess seat, a room or a flat to rent goes on Rooms & House Rent; land or a flat to buy or sell goes on Land & Property. A thing you are selling or looking for goes on Buy & Sell. Building material or a mason goes on Construction. A poster, or space to carry one, goes on Advertising. A tour, study group or team goes on Find People. A patient who needs blood goes on Blood. Something lost or found goes on Lost & Found. Gold has its own board. The guide above explains each one in full.
Press the + button and fill in the form
The form opens in Simple, with only what a posting needs; press Advanced to see every optional field. Tick “fill my details from my profile” and your name, phone, social link and skills are filled in for you. Write a clear title and a real description — that is what search matches against.
Say where, and how far you will go
Set your division, district and area, and drop a map pin if you like. Tick the extra areas you are willing to work in, or “work online” to cover the whole country. Under “Who can see this post” choose everyone, or only people within 5 to 200 km.
Choose how long it stays up
Anything from 1 to 60 days. The cost is 10 tokens to publish plus 2 tokens for each day. A 7-day posting costs 24 tokens in total.
Publish, then watch the inbox
Your posting goes live immediately. People who unlock your contact can message you, and every message arrives in your inbox and on your bell.
The token system, explained
Tokens exist for one reason: to make spam expensive. A free board fills with fake listings within a week — a small cost per action keeps what is here real.
How you get tokens
- 100 free tokens the first time you sign up — granted once, never repeated.
- Top up with bKash from the Purchase page — its price list shows 50, 150 and 500 tokens.
- Automatic refunds when you cancel or delete a posting before its days run out.
- Transfers from another user, straight into your balance.
What tokens are spent on
Publish a posting
plus 2 tokens for each day it stays live
Add a picture to a posting
per picture, up to 4 — pictures are not refunded
Open somebody's contact details
once per posting — free every time after that
Start a chat with somebody new
once per person, not per posting
Rate somebody after a deal
free, once per completed deal
Browse, search and read profiles
always free, no account needed
Two things worth knowing
- The 10-token publishing fee is never refunded — only the per-day part comes back. Cancelling a 30-day posting on day 10 returns 40 tokens.
- Unlocking is per posting and permanent, and starting a chat is per person, not per posting. Talking to the same person about a second posting costs nothing.

Platform basics and boards
1What is lavenon.com, and what are the boards?
lavenon.com is a marketplace where people in Bangladesh find each other directly, with no agency in between. There are 13 posting boards — Find Job (Jobs and Hire), Services, Labour, Rooms & House Rent, Land & Property, Buy & Sell, Construction, Advertising, Find People, Blood, Lost & Found and Gold — and beside them the Food, Hotels, Services and Shops directories, Charity and private Cost management. The boards all work the same way: browsing and searching are free, publishing a listing costs tokens, and you only pay to see somebody's contact details when you have decided you want them. The “How every board works” guide above and the “Board by board” questions below explain each one.
63What is the fastest way to find something?
Type it in the search box at the top: it searches every board and directory at once, closest first. Or tap Nix and ask in your own words. If it isn't there yet, set a Magnet and you will be told the moment it appears.
64How are results sorted, and why do I see far-away ones?
Everything is sorted by distance from your map pin, or from the centre of your area if you haven't dropped one. When there is little close by, the list widens to your district, then your division, then the whole country. Drop a pin on your profile and set the distance filter to keep it tight.
2How do boards with two sides, like Buy & Sell or Blood, work?
Some boards have more than one side, and the tabs at the top choose which side you are looking at. Find Job switches between Jobs and Hire. Buy & Sell splits into things for sale and things wanted. Construction splits into materials and labour. Rooms & House Rent splits into to let and wanted, Land & Property into for sale and wanted, and Blood into need and donate. The side is only a filter — switching it keeps your area, your category and the words you typed.
3What makes Rooms & House Rent different when I look for a place to stay?
It asks who the place is for: anyone, men, women or a family. Choose one in the filters and you see the listings written for that group, plus the ones open to anyone and the older ones from before this field existed. The match is generous on purpose — somebody looking for a women-only mess wants every real option, not only the adverts that spelled the rule out. Typing “female mess” into the search box brings back the same listings without touching the filter.
4How does the search work when I type more than one word?
Each word is searched on its own, and words may match in different places — the title, the product name, the brand, the skills, the description, the category, a ticket's route, or the poster's name, area or city. So “12mm rod” finds a listing titled “Rod & steel” whose product name is “12mm BSRM”. One search covers every board at once, together with the worker directory, and the number beside each board tells you where the rest of the results are waiting.
55Can I choose who sees my posting?
Yes. Under “Who can see this post” choose everyone, or a distance from 5 to 200 km. It is measured from your map pin, or from the centre of your area if you did not drop one, and people farther away do not see the posting at all. The reach cannot be changed after publishing.
Nix, the AI helper
57What is Nix and how do I use it?
Nix is the penguin in the bottom-right corner of every page. Sign in, tap him and write what you want in English, বাংলা or Banglish — how something works, something to find near you, or a post to prepare. He answers in the same chat, with cards you can tap to open, call, book or send.
58What can I ask Nix?
Anything about the site (“how do I unlock a phone number?”), anything near you (“a plumber within 5 km”, “who sells biryani near me”, “a turf free tomorrow evening”), and things to prepare: a Magnet, a Buy & Sell posting, a playground booking, a message to a restaurant, hotel or playground owner, or a report. The more you say in one message — what, where, how much, when — the better the answer.
59Does Nix cost tokens?
Chatting is free. A search Nix runs for you is counted like one you type yourself (2 tokens for every 20 searches). A draft — a Magnet, a posting, a booking — costs exactly what it costs on its own page, the card shows the price, and nothing is charged until you tap it.
60Who can read my chat with Nix?
Only you, on your own device. The chat is stored in your browser or the app, not on our server, and each message deletes itself after 24 hours; Clear chat removes it at once. To answer, Nix is given your recent messages, your name, area and skills — never your phone number, email or exact location.
61Why is Nix slow, or why didn't he answer?
Most answers take a few seconds; a search can take longer, and the lines under his name show what he is doing. When very many people ask at once he may say he is busy — send the message again in a minute. Each member can send up to 10 messages a minute and 200 a day. He needs a signed-in account and an internet connection.
62Nix got something wrong. What should I do?
Nix reads the live site, but he can still misunderstand. Open the result card to see the real posting before you pay or travel, and never send money just because Nix said so — the prices and rules on the page itself are the ones that count. If he keeps getting something wrong, tell us through Contact.
Earning, and getting a service fast
45Can I earn money through this site?
Yes, and the site takes no commission on any deal. Workers are hired through Find Job and Labour, and Open for work keeps you listed. Sellers sell on Buy & Sell, Construction, Gold and Land & Property. Landlords and hotels fill rooms. Carriers are paid to put posters on rickshaws, shop fronts and walls. Professionals and organisations are found in the Services directory. Providers answer Requests with an offer. Food sellers are found by hungry people nearby. Every payment happens directly between you and the other person.
46How quickly will I find somebody, or get a service?
Everything goes live the moment you publish — there is no approval queue for a posting. Lists are sorted nearest first, so the people closest to you see it before anybody else. People whose skills match are told at once, Magnets ring within moments, blood donors of the right group are alerted instantly, and unlocking a contact puts you on the phone straight away. How fast somebody answers depends on how many people are near you, but many jobs, rooms and sales are arranged the same day.
47How do I get noticed first?
Write a clear title and a full description — search matches every word against them. Set your exact area and tick the extra areas you will travel to. Add pictures. Fill in your skills so matching jobs reach you first. Verify your phone and ID for the badges strangers look for, and finish deals properly so your ratings grow. There is no paid placement: being near, a clear posting and a good reputation are what move you up.
Board by board
21What goes on the Hire board?
Hire is the side of the Find Job page for people offering their own skill — an electrician, a tutor, a designer, a driver, a cook. Switch Find Job to Hire, post what you do, the areas you are willing to work in and your rate, and people who need that skill find you, closest first. You can also switch on “Open for work” so you stay listed on Hire without writing a posting.
22What is the difference between Hire and Jobs?
They are the two ends of the same arrangement, and both live on one Find Job page with a switch at the top. On Hire the poster is offering to work; on Jobs the poster needs somebody to work for them — a tuition, an office assistant, a delivery run, an assignment. If you need someone, post on Jobs. If you are the someone, post on Hire.
23What belongs on Services rather than Hire?
The Services board is for arranged or organised work rather than one person's trade: wholesale and bulk supply, event and organisation management, house maids and domestic help, wedding decoration, market help, tourist guides and translators. The same Services page also has the Services directory — standing profiles of doctors, engineers, lawyers and organisations — and Requests, where people say what they need and providers answer.
24Do I need a skill to post on Labour?
No. Labour is for physical work that needs no trade — house work, carrying heavy things and general labour. The form never asks for skills: you say what the work is, when and where it is, and what it pays.
25What can I list on Rooms & House Rent?
Mess seats, single rooms and sublets, houses and flats, and restaurant or shop space — each to let or wanted, saying who it is for (anyone, men, women or a family) and when it is free. Add up to 4 pictures so people can see the place before they ask about it. Land and flats to buy go on Land & Property, and residential hotels have their own Hotels tab.
49What is the difference between Rooms & House Rent and Land & Property?
Renting and owning are two boards. Rooms & House Rent is for places to live or work in for a while — mess seats, rooms, flats, shop space — to let or wanted, with who it is for and when it is free. Land & Property is for buying and selling: plots, flats, buildings, commercial space and farm land, for sale or wanted.
26What can I sell on Buy & Sell?
Food, vegetables, electronics and appliances, gadgets and mobiles, cycles and spare parts, furniture, clothing, books and household items — each either for sale or wanted, with a product name, brand, condition and quantity. Bus, train, launch and plane tickets are allowed at their printed face value only, and a ticket can be found by any stop along its route, not only its two ends.
27How does the Construction board work?
It has two sides. Materials covers rod and steel, cement, bricks, stone and chips, sand, tiles, paint, timber, sanitary items and electric fittings, each with a brand, quantity and unit. Labour covers the masons, helpers and other workers who build with them. Switch between the two with the tabs at the top of the board.
28What is the Advertising board for?
Putting posters where people see them. An advertiser posts that they have a poster and a budget; a carrier posts that they have a rickshaw, bus, truck, car, shop shutter or wall to carry one. Each listing names the surfaces, how long it runs and what it pays, and can be aimed at men, women or both.
29What is Find People for?
Putting a group together: a tour or trip, a travel companion, a study group, a research team, a meetup or party, guests for a ceremony, or an investment group. The organiser posts what the group is for and where, people ask to join, and the group talks in its own group chat.
35How does the Blood board work?
Choose Need when a patient needs blood: the group, how many bags, the hospital, the time window it is needed in, and the areas to reach — all inside one division. Donors of that group who have switched on the donor option for those areas are told at once, each only once per request. Choose Donate, or switch on the donor option in your profile, to be told about requests near you — including ones already open when you switch it on. Offering to donate is free. The Banks tab lists verified blood banks with their current stock of each group and an emergency number.
30How does Lost & Found work?
Post a notice for something you lost, or something you picked up and want to hand back — money and wallets, ID cards, papers, bags, boxes, bikes and cycles. Saying you found something is free, pictures included. You can offer a reward, and the finder and the owner talk in the inbox to arrange the handover.
31How do Gold trades work?
Post whether you are selling or buying, how many grams, the purity and your price. Talk in the inbox, meet face to face, and confirm the deal when it is done. Nothing is escrowed, weighed or verified by the site — the risk of a gold trade is entirely yours.
32What is a Magnet?
A standing search over every board and directory at once. Give it a title, a note, your highest price, a place and how many kilometres to reach, and the moment a matching posting goes up — or a food seller, professional or hotel appears nearby — you are told, with a percentage showing how well it fits. It costs 1 tokens a day while it runs and you can stop it at any time. By default it is also shown to providers as a Request they can answer with an offer.
Directories, charity and your books
36How do I find food near me, or list my own food business?
Open Food and type a dish or a seller's name. Results are sorted by distance and show the matching menu lines with their prices; the phone number is on the listing and messaging the seller is free — nothing is behind a paywall. To sell, register a restaurant, hotel, cart or van and type your menu; menu lines cost nothing. A restaurant or hotel pays 1000 tokens a month. A cart or van buys 5 days at a time and simply runs out, with no automatic charge. A van can share its live position on a timer you choose, at 2 tokens a fix, so customers see where it is now.
37How do hotel listings work?
Residential hotels and guest houses are on the Hotels tab of Rooms & House Rent. Every room has its own number, price, pictures and state — available, or booked until a date — and a booking that has run out reads as available again by itself. Nothing is booked or paid through this site: you call or message the desk (messaging is free) and arrange it with them. A hotel pays 2000 tokens to join, which covers the first month, then 1000 a month, and its desk staff get a username and password to update rooms without the owner's account.
38What is the Services directory?
A standing list of professionals — doctors, engineers, lawyers, journalists — and organisations such as clinics, law firms and IT companies, each with a photo, category, price, place and ratings. It is not a posting that expires: a person pays 500 tokens a month and an organisation 1000. Any member can rate a profile once and change that rating later. Organisations also take service requests: you describe what you need and leave a number, and the organisation accepts, declines or marks it done.
39What are Requests, and how do I answer one?
Every Magnet is shown to providers unless its owner switches that off, which turns it into a Request under Services › Requests: what somebody wants, their budget and roughly where. Providers browse the requests near them and answer each one once with a price and a message; that opens an ordinary chat with the asker. Only the asker's first name, picture, ID badge and rating are shown — never their number or exact location.
40Is Charity really free?
For people asking for help, yes — asking, sending a case to organisations and chatting with them cost nothing. Organisations register with a trade licence and are checked by an administrator within 72 hours; once verified they can see a case's phone number and exact place and answer it. Each organisation publishes a fund ledger of every deposit and every spend, which can be added to but never edited. A registered organisation's listing is 1000 tokens a month.
41Can anybody see my cost management books?
No. A book is never published, searched or shown to anybody, and even the administrators' tools see only how many rows it holds, never a single amount. Each book has its own username and password on top of your sign-in. A shop or mess book can be opened by a helper who knows that username and password — that is what it is for — but they cannot rename, publish or delete it. A shop's buying prices and profit sit behind a separate PIN. A book is 1000 tokens a month; if it goes unpaid it becomes read-only, never deleted.
42How does a shop appear in the Shops directory?
Open your shop book and publish its storefront. Customers then see the shop's name, place, map pin and the products with how many are in stock — never your sales, your buying prices or your profit. You can type products here, or link your own till's product list, which is read when somebody searches. Shops are searched nearest the customer first, and a Magnet with matching words shows your shop in its results.
52What is the Demand page?
It shows what people near you search for in the Magnet and the top search box: the top products, the busiest areas and how it changes day by day. Each person counts once per product, however often they search. Centre it on yourself or on one of your shops, food listings, vans, professional profiles or hotels. A pass is 20 tokens for 2 hours. Only totals are shown — never who searched.
54Why am I not asked for my shop or hotel password any more?
Once you open a cost book, hotel desk, charity, blood bank or organisation with its password, this device remembers it with a key from the server — the password itself is not kept. Press Lock to forget it on this device. Signing out forgets all of them, and changing the password stops every remembered key from working.
Games and private notes
50How do I play chess or ludo with somebody?
Open Games, choose Chess or Ludo and press Create. You get a 6-digit Game ID — copy it and send it to your friends, who press Join and paste it. When everybody is seated the host starts the game. Anybody else with the code can watch once it has started. Games are free unless the administrators set a seat price, and a seat in a game that never starts is refunded. Sudoku needs no code: it plays on your own device.
51What are private notes, and who can read them?
A notepad behind its own username and password, separate from your account — you can even use it signed out. It stays signed in on that device until you press Lock, syncs to your other devices, and is deleted when nobody opens it for the number of days the administrators set. Anybody with the username and password can read it, and the administrators can read every note, so never keep bank or bKash passwords in it.
Tokens and what things cost
5Do I have to pay to browse listings and look at the pictures?
No. Browsing, searching, reading the full description, opening every picture at full size, and reading anybody's ratings and public profile are free, and most of it works without an account. Pictures are deliberately outside the paywall: the 2 tokens buy a poster's contact details, not permission to see what they are offering. A board where nothing can be seen before paying is a board nobody would browse.
6What is the signup bonus, and can I get it again by signing out and back in?
A new account is granted 100 tokens once, at the moment it is first created. Signing out and back in does not grant it again, and neither does signing in from another phone, browser or sign-in method — the grant is written the one time the account is created and never repeated. Raising the bonus later does not top up accounts that already exist either. Your balance is held on the server and cannot be edited from your side, so what it shows is what you really have.
7How much does it cost to publish a listing?
10 tokens to publish, plus 2 tokens for each day you want it visible, plus 1 token for each picture you attach. A 7-day listing with 2 pictures is therefore 10 + (2 × 7) + (1 × 2). You may choose from 1 to 60 days and up to 4 pictures. The form shows the exact total before you publish, and the same total is worked out again on the server, so the quote and the charge can never disagree.
8How do top-ups work, and how do I pay?
Open the Purchase page and pick an amount — 50, 150 or 500 tokens, at the rate shown there (৳1 buys 10 tokens). Payment is by bKash: send exactly that amount with Send Money to the number on that page, then enter your number, the amount and the TrxID from your bKash confirmation. Your balance is credited once that payment has been confirmed against the money actually received, which is usually within a minute or two. There is no free top-up and no card is asked for. Tokens are credit inside this site; the only way back to money is a withdrawal request, explained below.
43What happens if a monthly listing is not paid?
Organisations, professional profiles, blood banks, food sellers, hotels and cost books renew each month from your balance, and you are warned three days before. If the balance is short, the listing is frozen, not deleted — hidden from the public (a cost book stays readable to you) until you pay, and paying brings everything back exactly as it was. Paying early adds to the current month rather than replacing it.
53Why does searching cost tokens?
Searches from the Magnet, the top search box, a board's search box and Nix are counted per account: 2 tokens buys a block of 20, and the next block is charged only when that one is used up. Repeating the same search and browsing a board without typing are free, and the administrators can change the price or switch the meter off.
56Can I turn tokens back into money?
Yes, while the administrators have withdrawals open. On the Purchase page, under Withdraw, enter your bKash number and how many tokens — at least 500. The payout is priced at that day's token rate. An administrator sends the money by hand within the working days shown there, and only then do the tokens leave your balance; you can cancel while it is waiting.
Unlocks, messages and transfers
9What do I get when I spend 2 tokens to unlock a listing?
The listing opens with the poster's phone number, email and social link shown, and 2 tokens leave your balance. You are charged once for that listing, not once per visit — open it again tomorrow, next week, or from a different device, and it costs nothing. Your own listings are always free to open, and so is one you have already unlocked.
10Why was I not charged when I messaged somebody about a new listing?
Because chats are kept per person, not per listing. The 1 token is charged only when a conversation with somebody new is created. If you have talked to that person before — about anything, on any board — the new listing is simply added to your existing chat as another subject and nothing is charged. So the cost is one token for each person you ever talk to, however many listings you discuss with them.
11Can I send tokens to another person?
Yes. Open your profile, press Send beside your balance, and enter their email and a whole number of tokens from 1 to 1000. They must already have an account with that email. It is a move, not a top-up: your balance falls by exactly what theirs rises by, nothing new is created, and it cannot be undone. You cannot send to yourself, and transfers keep working even when charging is switched off — the tokens you hold stay yours.
12What does confirming a deal do?
Inside a chat, open the Postings panel and confirm the listing you agreed on. Your side is marked at once and the other person is told, because the listing stays on the board until they confirm too. When both of you have, the listing leaves the board and moves to the Done page — nobody else will contact you about something already settled, and the completed work stays on record. The chat with every message in it stays as the record of what was agreed. Confirming is also what unlocks the rating: each of you may then leave the other one permanent rating.
33Where does work go once the deal is closed?
To the Done page. When both sides confirm a posting in the inbox it leaves the boards, so nobody asks about it again, but it is not deleted — it is listed as completed work, and the home page counts it beside the work still waiting to be done. Only an administrator can edit or remove completed work.
34What happens when I delete a conversation?
It disappears from your inbox, but it is not erased: the conversation is kept on the server, and administrators can still read it when they investigate a report. The other person keeps their copy. If either of you writes again, the chat comes back to your inbox with only the new messages in it.
48Why did my new chat become a “message request”?
If you write to somebody who has not saved you as a contact, and the chat is not about one of their postings, it arrives as a request. You can send up to 5 messages, but they are held until the other person presses Confirm — then they are delivered and you can talk and call as normal. A chat about a posting is never a request: the posting is its own invitation.
Profile, skills and trust
13How are my skills matched to new listings?
Write your skills on your profile, separated by commas. Every new listing on every board is then checked against them: a skill counts as a match when it appears whole, or when all of its words appear, in the title, the product name, the brand, the category, the required skills or the description. A match rings your bell once for that listing and never twice. Your profile also shows how many live listings match each skill and on which board — press one and the board opens already filtered to it.
14What happens to my old picture and name when I change them?
A new profile picture replaces the one before it: the new file is stored and the old one is deleted in the same moment, so there is only ever one picture per account. Remove it and your Google or Facebook picture shows again — that one is never touched. Your name works the same way. Once you have set it here, signing in again never overwrites it with the name your Google account carries, and it cannot be saved empty, because your name is the label on every listing, chat and rating of yours.
15What is the ID verification badge, and do I need it?
It depends on the site's settings. When the administrators switch the ID check on, posting and messaging wait until one of your documents is approved; when it is off, the badge is optional. Any one of three proves who you are: a national ID card, a birth registration certificate (for somebody with no NID) or a student ID card. A person compares the photographs with a selfie, and the answer is promised within 72 hours — the deadline is stamped when you send it and counted down on your profile. The badge on your public profile is what a stranger looks for before meeting you.
16What if I typed my ID number wrongly, or want to change it while it is being checked?
Change the number in your profile editor and the request is withdrawn on the spot: the waiting row leaves the review queue and the photographs you uploaded are deleted with it. Nothing half-checked is left behind, and nobody approves a number you have stopped claiming. Any earlier verdict is cleared at the same time, so you can simply submit again with the right number. The card photographs never appear on your public profile, and staff who only have directory access never see them — the profile keeps the result, not the pictures.
Account status, holds and rules
17What is the difference between my account being blocked and my area being paused?
A block is aimed at you, is set by an administrator, and lasts until an administrator lifts it. A pause is aimed at a place — an area, a district or a whole division, usually for local conditions or a holiday — and it lifts itself on the date it was set for. Both leave reading alone: you can still sign in, browse every board, open your chats and read whatever you already unlocked. What stops is writing — posting, unlocking, starting chats, sending messages, rating, buying and transferring. A banner at the top of the page tells you which one you are under, the reason, and when it ends.
18If I cancel a listing early, or a moderator takes it down, do I get tokens back?
You get 2 tokens back — the day rate your listing was published at, not today's — for every day of visibility it never used, credited immediately. The 10-token publishing fee and the 1 token per picture are not refunded: a day that never happened can be given back, a stored file cannot. Deleting a live listing pays exactly the same as cancelling it, so Delete never costs you more than Cancel. If a moderator takes a listing down, those same unused days come back and you are told the reason.
19How does the ticket price check on Buy & Sell work?
Reselling a bus, train, launch or plane ticket above its printed price is illegal in Bangladesh, so every ticket listing must state the face value printed on the ticket. The server compares the asking price with it as the listing is saved — the check is not done in the app, so it cannot be edited around. Ask for more and the listing goes up publicly marked as above face value, with the reason shown on the card and in the detail view for every buyer to read.
20Who can see my phone number, my exact location or my IP address?
Always public: your name, member ID, bio, skills and location, because that is what makes you findable. Always private: your phone number and email — nobody sees them, not even somebody who unlocks your posting, and nobody can search for you by them. Yours to choose: your social links, whether the ID badge shows and when you were last active. Never public, whatever you set: your token balance, your IP address, your device details and your full ID number — even a public ID shows only its last four digits. Unlocking a listing for 2 tokens shows its social link; people reach you by message.
44How do I delete my account or one of my listings?
Press Delete and it is scheduled for 30 days later and hidden straight away. Within those 30 days you can keep it with one press and nothing is lost. After that it is gone for good. Only an administrator can delete something immediately.
Still stuck?
Press “Send feedback” at the bottom of any page. A real person reads it, and the answer arrives in your notification bell.
